John Keenan, PE

​      Marine Solutions is pleased to welcome Mr. John Keenan, PE! John will be located in our Maryland Office serving as the Maryland Dive Operations Manager. John is a Certified Commercial Diver and a registered Professional Engineer with more than 37 years of experience in the inspection, evaluation, rehabilitation, construction, and rating of all types of structures, including bridges, dams, waterfront facilities and ancillary structures. John is a Baltimore native with an extensive work history in Maryland, its neighboring states, and throughout the country. He was one of the first PE-Divers in the industry and is considered an expert in underwater condition inspections.

      John started his career as a commercial diver in 1980 and worked his way through college at the University of Maryland where he obtained his Civil Engineering degree in 1988. He then became a co-owner of a Baltimore-based marine engineering and construction company. He was responsible for contract negotiations, project management, design review, labor relations, and client development for underwater projects throughout the country. In 2002, John moved onto a Baltimore-based engineering consulting firm where he served for over 13 years as the Department Manager and Lead Structural Engineer for bridge inspection and design projects for highway, infrastructure, and transit structures throughout the region.​
