I really enjoyed going out in the field and seeing how bridges are inspected and the small details that allow engineers to catch problems before they occur. I enjoy the environment the office provides and everyone is very welcoming and helpful. So, it has been amazing and a great experience so far.

This past week I had the opportunity to go out with some dive teams, so that was super exciting, and I had a blast. Definitely starting to get more responsibility also which is cool. Overall, it's really been great. Everyone taught me a lot about the site visits and specifics on what to do on the boats which was super great to learn about.

I have received a lot of training about Marine Solutions procedures and software. I have been able to accompany multiple jobs on both the inspection and construction side in a support role. There I observe field operations. I also provided support where I can in the form of note taking, photographing sites, or promoting safety by making sure others are hydrated. Some of my office tasks include streamlining documents, assisting on projects, and price updating.

I have been working a lot on writing reports, and through this, I have been able to get a better idea of what field notes look like and how they are transformed into updated reports. I am especially looking forward to getting in the field and meeting inspectors and divers and learning firsthand about what they do on a typical inspection day. So many great opportunities!
