Q. How long have you worked at Marine Solutions?
"
Three and a half months."

Q. What is your role, and what does your job entail?
"
I was brought on as a Rope Access Field Supervisor. My job is to provide safe methods for access on difficult terrain and supervise the engineers during work at height inspections. In the office, I am tasked with managing the purchasing of new equipment, inventory, and regular inspections of all rope-access related PPE, as well as updating internal documents pertaining to SPRAT/OSHA standards."

Q. What do you like most about your job AND why?
"In the brief time I have been here, there has been an enormous amount of support given to me to build out our rope access team. It is incredibly satisfying to me to solve problems and identify and fill capability gaps within the company. I love learning, facing new challenges and the thrill of traveling to unfamiliar places. In many ways it is a dream job for me."

Q. What three words best describe you?
"
Experienced, Curious, and Adventurous."

Q. What do you like to do in your spare time (please be specific i.e. cooking, kayaking, etc.)?
"I enjoy running up hiking over, and/or climbing anything tall. I have been known to play guitar on occasion. My son and I are students of Jiu-Jitsu and go to regular classes every week. I love camping and kayaking, and generally spending as much time in nature as possible. I am an avid Chess player and take regular lessons from a tutor. I am also a closet book worm."

Q. If given the chance, who would you like to trade places with for a day AND why?
"The Dalai Lama. I would gladly trade places with him for a day to expand my own perspectives and world views, and also to help me gain deeper spiritual insight into myself and others."

Q. If you were to write a book about yourself, what would you name it?
"
The High Places of the World."

Q. What advice do you have for prospective Marine Solutions candidates?
"There is so much to learn from the folks around you at Marine Solutions, and there is always something new to learn every day. Do not be afraid to try new things. Listen and pay attention. Be curious and ask lots of questions. Ask for help with gaining as much knowledge as possible about the things that interest you here. Ask for guidance from your peers and people within the company that share your passion. Help others with their passion."
