​Marine Solutions provides maritime engineering services under two separate on-call contracts for properties in New York City managed by the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC). Tasks include underwater inspection, assessment, ratings, evaluation, analysis, rehabilitation recommendations, cost estimating, and hydrographic surveying. Marine Solutions has been involved with more than 65 separate tasks during the past five years, including:
  • Routine, rapid, design, post-event, and engineering investigation level inspections performed in accordance with NYCEDC guidelines
  • Underwater and above water inspections to include Level I, II, and III inspections
  • In-depth engineering investigation reports including ground penetrating radar (GPR) studies to explore subsurface conditions
  • Concrete core sampling of concrete piles and pile caps for the purpose of compression testing and analysis
  • Hydrographic and imaging surveys, including multibeam and 3D underwater imaging surveys
Marine Solutions team coordinates with the USCG and NY Harbor Police for inspections performed in NYC navigable waterways. We have provided multiple inspection teams when needed to meet task schedules. Our inspection teams are mobilized by boat or by truck as appropriate for the site, and all inspection vessels and vehicles are outfitted with ADCI and OSHA compliant surface-supplied dive stations.
