Marine Solutions was awarded the contract to replace eight trash racks at the McNary Lock and Dam located on the Columbia River located in Umatilla, Oregon. Marine Solutions mobilized a six person dive crew, 30 ton and 90 ton cranes, a boom truck with man basket, and decompression chamber to the site for the completion of the project. Marine Solutions contracted the fabrication of the eight trash racks to be completed offsite and assembled onsite. Marine Solutions' divers working at depths up to 75 feet, removed the existing racks and installed the new racks within the same slots. The new racks were secured by coring and installing four 1 ½ inch diameter stainless steel undercut anchors. The job was completed both on time and within budget.
