Marine Solutions serves as the underwater contractor for the cleaning, inspection and renovation of an existing water intake structure located at the Cane Run Facility.  Cane Run Unit 1 and Unit 2 had been previously decommissioned resulting in the build-up of silt and other debris within the shared intake structure and flow gallery.  The buildup of silt and other debris accumulated was over 2500 yards and had to be removed and collected for disposal at an approved facility.  In addition to the removal of the silt and debris, Marine Solutions removed the old trash racks in Unit 1 and Unit 2 and replaced them with new trash racks.  Marine Solutions also assisted with the removal and installation of new traveling water screens in Unit 1.  Marine Solutions supplied a 6 person dive crew and completed this project with no lost time or incidents.
