Marine Solutions was contracted to perform an underwater inspection and repair on intake structure components, remove over 200 linear feet of steel walkway, inspect more than 500 linear feet of steel sheet pile walls, and remove eight vertical steel bars from trash racks. Marine Solutions removed eight vertical steel bars using underwater burning equipment to allow divers to penetrate the intake structure. The bars were welded back in place upon completion of the inspection and repairs, allowing AEP to continue use with minimal costs and downtime.
