Certification Status
Target Skill (0): This is a competency the employee is targeting. Employee has not yet been assessed on this competency.
Beginner (1): The employee has basic knowledge, limited experience, and needs guidance.
Intermediate (2): The employee has good working knowledge, proficient, experienced, and needs little or no guidance.
Advanced (3): The employee has advanced knowledge, very proficient, experienced, no guidance required, and assists others.
Expert (4): The employee has authoritative knowledge, can provide guidance, troubleshoot, and answer difficult questions related to this area of expertise.
Not Applicable (99): Competency does not pertain to this employee’s role.

Possibility to Override the Target for an Employee
Previously, the employee had to obtain all competencies within a role that is assigned. With the release it is possible to add the ‘Not Applicable’ status for an employee for a specific competency. This will make sure that the aggregated status will not be impacted when the employee is not assessed for that specific competency.
